The service

SoberHint delivers one daily SMS message to your phone at your chosen delivery time. Messages are daily encouragement, short, supportive text reminders for people in recovery. SoberHint is not a medical service, health service, therapy, counseling, addiction treatment, or crisis intervention of any kind.

Free week and subscription terms

Free week. Starting a free week needs only your phone number. No card or payment information is collected, and nothing is charged. You receive one text a day for 7 days, then the daily texts stop. One free week per phone number.
Upgrade texts. During and after the free week we send automated subscription-related texts inviting you to continue on a paid plan: up to three during the week, a closing note when the week ends on day 8, and one final follow-up a few days later. A paid plan only begins if you choose one and complete checkout.
Buy now. You can instead buy a plan at any time: $9/month or $39/year through Stripe Checkout. A purchase is charged immediately, with no free trial on that path, and the plan renews on its monthly or annual schedule until canceled.

No refunds for partial billing periods

SMS terms

By entering your phone number and starting a free week, you consent to one daily SoberHint text for 7 days plus the automated subscription-related texts described above.
By requesting a sample, you consent to receive it plus up to 2 automated promotional follow-up texts over 5 days.
If you start checkout for a paid plan and do not finish, you consent to up to three automated checkout reminders over three days. Completing checkout begins daily SoberHint messages.
Message frequency: one per day during the free week or a paid plan, plus the follow-ups and reminders above. Standard message and data rates may apply.
Consent is not a condition of purchase

Reply MORNING, AFTERNOON, or EVENING to change delivery time
SMS service provided by Twilio. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sourdough AI LLC, its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the service, including but not limited to decisions made in reliance on SoberHint messages, failure to seek professional medical or mental health care, or outcomes related to addiction, compulsive behavior, or recovery.

The service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or timely delivery of messages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any cause whatsoever is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will be resolved in California courts.
