SoberHint is operated by Sourdough AI LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our SMS subscription service.

Service disclaimer

SoberHint is a daily encouragement service delivering motivational text messages. It is not medical advice, mental health treatment, addiction counseling, or any form of professional health guidance. Do not use SoberHint as a substitute for professional medical or mental health care.

What we collect

Phone number. Required to deliver your daily affirmation. It is the only thing the free week asks for. Stored securely and used to manage delivery, consent, replies, subscription support, checkout, and cancellation. We do not sell it or use it for third-party advertising.

Email address. SoberHint does not ask for your email address. If you make a paid purchase, Stripe collects an email at checkout only to send your receipt.

Payment information. Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your card number. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle payment data.

Delivery time preference. Morning, afternoon, or evening: stored to schedule your daily message at the time you chose.

SMS reply content. When you reply to a SoberHint message, we may store the reply to detect distress signals and respond appropriately. We do not use reply content for advertising or unrelated purposes. Twilio processes the message for delivery, and AWS stores the service record.

Basic analytics. Page views and CTA interactions are recorded with first-party session and test-variant identifiers stored in cookies. We also send site interaction events and standard browser or request information to Google Analytics. Subscription and delivery events may be linked to a phone number in SoberHint's own records so we can operate the service and measure the signup flow.

How we use your information

Phone number: to manage delivery, consent, replies, support, checkout, and cancellation
Email: only if you make a paid purchase, Stripe uses the email given at checkout for your receipt
Delivery preference: to schedule your message at your chosen time
Analytics: to measure site interactions, signup, delivery, and subscription events
We never use your data for advertising
We never sell your data to anyone, ever

SMS messaging

By entering your phone number and starting a free week, you consent to one automated daily SMS from SoberHint for 7 days plus automated subscription-related texts about continuing on a paid plan. If you start checkout for a paid plan and do not finish, you consent to automated checkout reminders. Completing checkout begins recurring automated daily SMS messages. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

We may update this policy. We will notify active subscribers of material changes by SMS before they take effect.
